Avoid Family Conflict by Planning Well

All too often there are rifts in families over the contents of a family member’s will.  This can happen because they are surprised by what is in the will.  The best way to avoid this is to make it known to all family members just what is contained in your will.

Other things you can do to make the process go smoothly is:

• Choose your executor wisely
• Deal with your lawyer independently and don’t allow anyone to have ‘undue influence’
• Keep all your Estate Planning documents up to date.
